The Liu Early Life Lab investigates the fossil and geological records of the Cryogenian, Ediacaran and Cambrian periods, between ~750 and 485 million years ago. Lab members utilise a range of approaches, including field-based sedimentology and stratigraphy, geochemistry, experimental taphonomy, spatial palaeoecology, morphometrics, systematics, and petrology, to advance our knowledge of the evolution of complex eukaryotic life.
